Danish Official Visit to India

Gujarat and New Delhi

10 - 13 January 2017

Visa Application

Danish citizens require visa for India. Please apply for visa well in advance as the process time can sometimes be longer than expected. The Danish Embassy in New Delhi will keep the Embassy of India in Copenhagen informed about the registered participants. However, all applications will have to follow the regular procedure.

We recommend the dedicated consular services agencies, such as Comet Consular Services, who can complete the application process for you.

Participants should start their application process by filling out the online form here: https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa/index.html (select “Regular Visa Application”; then “Business Visa” in the dropdown menu on the next page).

An invitation letter should be issued by the Danish Embassy in New Delhi and be uploaded with the online visa application. Please contact Sharon Nathani (shanat@um.dk) or Morten Viktor Ranieri-Svendsen (morsve@um.dk) for issuing the letter.

Participants then have to submit their application by:

1.    A consular service agency

2.    Sending the required documents by mail

3.    Personally showing up at the Embassy of India in Copenhagen

4.    Sending a representative to the Indian Embassy with the required documents

Please note that it is a requirement to be physically present in Denmark while applying for a visa.

The Embassy of India requires the following along with the application:

  • Passport (valid for at least 4 months longer than the period of visa required)
  • A printout of the completed online application form
  • A copy of the invitation by the Embassy of Denmark
  • A Letter of Guarantee on the company letterhead introducing the applicant, stating the purpose of the business visit and taking responsibility, including financial, of the person representing the company
  • One recent, coloured, passport size (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) photograph showing the full view of the face in a plain background
  • Letter of Declaration (The Embassy of India have initiated an immediate requirement for agents, including Comet, to declare that the applicant is physically present when applying for their visa to India).
